Digitale Comune is a project realized by Emilia-Romagna Region together with Lepida ScpA, dedicated to the digital transformation of Local Council online services across the entire region.
The project is developing through the participation of all the public bodies of Emilia-Romagna and falls within the scope of the actions foreseen in the Digital Data Valley Public Benefit Agenda.
Three objectives have been set:
- access the online services of regional bodies using SPID, the public digital identity system
- complete integration with the pagoPA platform and use it for payments to the Public Administrations
- make the services of the local public bodies available online on smartphones, through the App IO
Digital Comune makes use of funds provided at the end of 2020 by the Ministry for Technological Innovation and Digital Transition under an agreement between the Emilia-Romagna Region and the Department for Digital Transformation (DTD), Chair of the Council of Ministers, for the promotion and acceleration of the process of alignment of local councils to the regulations introduced regarding digitalization of public services (Innovation Fund).
The project aims to support and accelerate the digital transformation of local councils and all public bodies in close contact with citizens, companies, and families, according to the provisions of the Digital Administration Code for the full implementation of the rights of digital citizenship.
In order to support the public bodies and spread knowledge of this new form of interaction between citizens and PA, the Emilia-Romagna Region decided to dedicate additional resources to the project, including training, information, and communication initiatives.
Individuals working in all the PA involved are protagonists in the innovation and fundamental for carrying through this major process of change. Thanks to their work in the field, citizens will be able to participate and best exploit the new services in full security.
